HubSpot Connection
Manage your HubSpot account connection, view connection status, and learn how to change or disconnect your HubSpot portal.
Viewing Connected Account
When your HubSpot account is connected, you'll see the HubSpot section in Settings with:
- A card showing your active HubSpot connection
- Options to Reinstall HubSpot App (to fix issues or update permissions)
- Option to Disconnect your account
Connection Status
Your HubSpot connection status determines what you see in Settings:
- Connected: HubSpot account is active and linked. You can generate documents and see connection management options.
- Disconnected: No HubSpot account is linked. The HubSpot section doesn't appear in Settings.
- Issues: If permissions are missing or there's a connection problem, use Reinstall HubSpot App to fix it.
Multiple HubSpot Accounts
Can I connect multiple HubSpot accounts?
Each PDF CreateMate organization connects to one HubSpot account. To work with multiple HubSpot portals:
- Create separate PDF CreateMate organizations
- Connect each to a different HubSpot portal
- Use different email addresses if needed
Creating a Second Account
To use PDF CreateMate with another HubSpot account:
- Log out of PDF CreateMate
- Register with a different email
- Connect to the second HubSpot portal
- Manage each organization separately
Changing the Connected Account
Disconnecting Current Account
To disconnect your current HubSpot account:
- Go to Settings
- Scroll to the Disconnect HubSpot Account card
- Click Disconnect
- Type "DISCONNECT" to confirm
- Click Yes, Disconnect
What Happens When You Disconnect?
- PDF CreateMate loses access to HubSpot data
- Templates remain but cannot generate documents
- Previous generated PDFs stay in HubSpot
- You can reconnect the same or different account
Connecting a New Account
To connect a HubSpot account:
- Go to Settings
- If available, click Reinstall HubSpot App to start the connection flow
- You'll be redirected to HubSpot authorization
- Log into the HubSpot account you want to connect
- Grant the requested permissions
- You'll be redirected back to PDF CreateMate
- Connection is complete
Disconnecting Completely
From PDF CreateMate
See "Disconnecting Current Account" above.
From HubSpot
You can also disconnect from HubSpot's side:
- Go to HubSpot Settings > Integrations > Connected Apps
- Find PDF CreateMate
- Click Uninstall
- Confirm
Reauthorization
Sometimes you need to reauthorize your HubSpot connection:
When Reauthorization Is Needed
- HubSpot permissions changed
- Long period of inactivity
- HubSpot security requirements
- After HubSpot API updates
- Connection errors or permission issues
How to Reauthorize
- Go to Settings
- Find the HubSpot section
- Click Reinstall HubSpot App
- You'll be redirected to HubSpot
- Review and approve the permissions
- You'll be redirected back to PDF CreateMate
- Connection is restored
Troubleshooting Connection Issues
Connection Error
Problem: Connection shows an error status.
Solutions:
- Try clicking Reinstall HubSpot App in Settings to reauthorize
- Check if HubSpot is experiencing issues (hubspot.com/status)
- Verify you have admin access to the HubSpot portal
- If the issue persists, disconnect and reconnect through Reinstall HubSpot App
- Contact support if problems continue
Permissions Missing
Problem: Some features don't work due to missing permissions.
Solutions:
- Go to Settings
- Find the HubSpot section
- Click Reinstall HubSpot App
- You'll be redirected to HubSpot
- Review and approve any new permission requests
- You'll be redirected back to PDF CreateMate
Wrong Account Connected
Problem: Connected to the wrong HubSpot portal.
Solution:
- Go to Settings
- Click Disconnect to disconnect the current account
- Confirm the disconnection by typing "DISCONNECT"
- After disconnecting, go to Settings and click Reinstall HubSpot App
- Ensure you're logged into the correct HubSpot account
- Approve the permissions to connect the correct portal
Security Considerations
- Only connect HubSpot accounts you have permission to access
- Disconnect if you no longer need access
- Review connected apps in HubSpot periodically
- Report any suspicious activity to support
