Budget Alerts New

Set up alerts to get notified when your credit usage or spending approaches a threshold you define. Budget alerts help you stay on top of costs and avoid unexpected charges.

Only the organization owner can create, edit, or delete budget alerts. All team members can view the alerts and budgets.

Setting a Monthly Budget

Before creating alerts, you need to set a monthly budget:

  1. Go to Limits in the sidebar
  2. Click Set Budget
  3. Choose a budget type:
Budget Type Description
Credits Track how many credits your organization uses per month
Money Track how much you spend (in EUR) per month
  1. Enter your monthly budget amount
  2. Click Save

The Limits page shows a progress bar with your current usage against the budget, along with the number of days until the budget period resets.


Creating an Alert

  1. On the Limits page, click Add Alert
  2. Select the budget type (Credits or Money)
  3. Choose an alert type:
Alert Type How It Works
Percentage Triggers when usage reaches a percentage of your budget (e.g., 80%)
Absolute Triggers when remaining balance drops to a specific number (e.g., 5,000 credits remaining)
  1. Enter the threshold value
  2. Click Create Alert

Example Alerts

  • "Notify me when I've used 80% of my monthly credit budget"
  • "Notify me when I have €50 remaining in my monthly spending budget"
  • "Notify me when I have 5,000 credits remaining this month"

How Notifications Work

When an alert threshold is reached:

  • Email notifications are sent to all organization members
  • The alert's Last Triggered date updates on the Limits page
  • Each alert triggers once per monthly budget period — you won't receive duplicate notifications for the same threshold in the same month
Alerts are checked each time credits are consumed (during document generation) and when auto-recharge payments are processed.

Managing Alerts

Enable or Disable

Toggle the switch next to any alert to temporarily disable it without deleting it. Disabled alerts don't trigger notifications.

Delete

Click the trash icon next to an alert and confirm the deletion. Deleted alerts cannot be recovered.

View Trigger History

Each alert shows when it was last triggered, so you can track how often you're approaching your budget limits.

You can remove a budget at any time by clicking Edit BudgetRemove Budget. Removing a budget disables all associated percentage-based alerts.


Tips

  • Start with a percentage alert at 80% — this gives you time to purchase more credits before running out
  • Add an absolute alert as a safety net — set a low threshold (e.g., 1,000 credits remaining) to catch unexpected spikes
  • Use money alerts for cost control — if you have a fixed monthly budget for document generation, set a money-based alert
