Display Modes

Choose from four display modes:

Make Full URL Clickable

The complete URL is displayed and clickable in the PDF.

Preview: https://example.com/uploaded-files/document.pdf

Best for: Digital documents where recipients need to see and click the full URL.

Custom Clickable Text

Your chosen text becomes a clickable link. The URL is hidden from view.

Preview: Click here

Best for: Clean, professional documents where showing the URL isn't necessary.

Clickable Text with URL Appended

Your chosen text is clickable, with the URL shown in parentheses for reference.

Preview: Click here (https://example.com/document.pdf)

Best for: Documents where you want both a friendly label and visible URL.

Raw URL as Plain Text

The URL is displayed as plain text without any clickable functionality.

Preview: https://example.com/uploaded-files/document.pdf

Best for: Documents intended for print, or when you don't want clickable links.

Link display is an organization-wide setting. All templates and team members use the same link format.

How It Works

The link display setting applies to:

  • File property URLs in HubSpot records
  • Generated document links stored back in HubSpot
  • All templates across your organization
Changes only affect documents generated after saving. Existing documents keep their original link format unless regenerated.
